Decarbonisation
The Ministry for Tourism and the Institute for Sustainable Energy recently have partnered in the DETOCS project which seeks to address challenges in the recovery of the EU tourism infrastructure caused by
the COVID-19 pandemic and the energy crisis by promoting sustainability and low carbon emissions. Its goals align with EU policies for economic decarbonization and include facilitating decarbonization, improving energy efficiency, promoting energy self-sufficiency in the tourism sector, encouraging low-energy consumption tourism like "virtual tourism," and assisting regions in dealing with the current energy crisis.
