The Coastal Protection and Adaptation Strategy for the Maltese Islands was developed to support multiple government departments and agencies, aiming to address the escalating climate change challenges and the vulnerability of the archipelago's coastline. Malta's rich history, tourism income, and general well-being depend significantly on its coastline, but concentrated development in coastal areas makes adaptation and resilience against climate change crucial to mitigate multiple threats facing the islands.
