Between June and November 2023, the third activity (A3) of the project ALTOUR-MED project (Alternative Tourism for the Mediterranean Region) – project n. 2022-2-MT01-KA210-VET-000096406 was completed.
This activity consisted of organizing a Networking Event in each of the participating countries (Italy. Greece, Malta). The purpose of the event was to inform stakeholders of the local tourist ecosystem about the project, its objectives and upcoming activities, and start the creation of a network of stakeholders that will contribute to the development and/or validation of ArtourMED products.
The Networking Events were organized following the guide prepared by Green Village (Greek partner), which indicated how to carry out the activity, including its objectives, its promotion etc.
The three Networking Events (Malta -Institute of Tourism Studies, Italy - Education In Progress, and Greece - Green Village) took place precisely:
1) In Greece in Xylokastro at the Green Village Hotel, 6 June 2023:
2) In Malta at Ħal Luqa, Institute of Tourism Studies, 27 November 2023;
3) In Italy in Milazzo, at Argo - Salotto Olistico, on 6 November 2023.
All three Networking Events reached the project goal, registering the participation of 20 participants each. They were important actors of the local tourist ecosystem, representatives of local industry, local authorities and alternative tourism associations.
After the events were completed, each partner prepared a brief report outlining the procedures and main results obtained.
In general, the events allowed the project partners to collect important feedback on the best practices collected up to that time, to make the project known and collect new ideas for future improvement.
